Key engineering improvements include a servo-driven constant-speed feeding system that significantly reduces vibration marks on the tube surface, a high-frequency welding module with real-time current adjustment to prevent burn-through and oxidation, and a quick-change roll cassette that slashes tooling switchover time from several hours to under 45 minutes. According to WEIYI’s R&D team, the new mill also incorporates an enhanced gas-shielded tungsten arc welding (GTAW) option, which produces an exceptionally smooth internal bead, minimizing the risk of surface rippling or heat tint that would otherwise compromise the decorative finish.
For tube manufacturers serving the furniture and architectural industries, the mill can be equipped with an optional inline embossing device. This attachment allows patterns, logos, or anti-slip textures to be rolled directly onto the tube surface before cutting, opening entirely new product lines for decorative profiles and branded tubing. WEIYI reports that early customers in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe have achieved stable production speeds of up to 25 meters per minute while maintaining an average surface roughness (Ra) below 0.3 microns after the polishing stage. One customer in Vietnam, specializing in handrails for luxury condominiums, documented a 30% reduction in post-weld finishing labor costs after switching to WEIYI’s decorative mill.
